TWO multi-talented members of staff at a Worcester school have called it a day after a total of 44 years of dedicated service.
June Wheatley, who has been at Northwick Manor Infants' School for 27 years, is retiring this summer after working as both a cleaner and lunchtime superviser.
And Jan Ruff, who has also been a cleaner and lunchtime supervisor, as well as teaching assistant, is retiring after 17 years of service.
"They are both very special to the school because they took on so many different roles," said Sue Curphey, headteacher at the Northwick Road school.
"The children are very sorry to see them go as they are very popular.
"We certainly wish them the best of luck for the future and hope they will come back to see the school whenever they can."
Both 61-year-old Mrs Wheatley and Mrs Ruff, 59, bade an emotional farewell to the school yesterday - the last day of term.
