A WELL known city record store is set to close later this year after going into administration.
Andy's Records, in Friary Walk, is expected to close in mid-September.
All 23 branches in the UK will be shut down by the end of September.
The company, which is based in Bury St Edmunds, went into administration in May this year with reported debts of £6m.
It has put its troubles down to competition from larger chains coupled with the growth of internet music sales.
The firm's proprietor, Andy Gray, started selling records as a schoolboy from a stall in Felixstowe more than 30 years ago.
The first shop opened in 1975, and at the company's peak in the 1990s, there were 40 stores in the country. It also won six awards for Best Independent Retailer.
But competition forced it to close stores, and administrators have been unable to find a buyer for the firm.
