A SUMMER of Thursday afternoon entertainment for children is lined up for the new season at The Roses Theatre in Tewkesbury.
For those looking for holiday entertainment, there are special events lined up throughout August aimed at children as young as three.
On Thursday, July 31, a new show, A Day At Old Macdonalds Farm, will see Daisy the Cow dancing, Henry the Horse singing and Percy the Pig hiding at bath time. For children aged three to nine, it promises great fun.
The following week, Thursday, August 7, Magic Carpet theatre presents The Wizard of Castle Magic, a spooky comedy adventure for five- to 11-year-olds and their families. The Wizard himself - top magician Jon Marshall - is holding a Wizard's Workshop before the show at 11am for seven- to 13-year-olds.
Strawberry the Clown will be delighting four and overs without saying a word in a celebrated show including stunts like human levitation, fishing rod tennis, the giant leap of death and the unicycle waiter. He is taking the stage on Thursday, August 14 at 2pm.
Finally for August, Puff the Magic Dragon and his Fairytale Adventures sees children's favourite Puff off on an adventure where he meets up with other characters from famous fairytales. It is written with plenty of songs and fun, for four to eight year olds.
