THREE men were arrested after an elderly woman in Evesham was allegedly conned out of £650 for an hour's work.
A man claiming to be from J&M Pavement, also known as Cotswold Pavements, called at the woman's home at lunchtime and after chatting to her, he tarmaced her drive and charged her £650 for the hour's work.
At 1.05pm on Tuesday police arrested three men in Beckford on suspicion of deception in connection with the incident.
One man was released without charge, another has been bailed pending further enquiries and the third remains in custody helping police with their enquiries.
Police have now appealed for anyone who might have been approached by someone claiming to have a paving business who then carried out poor tarmacing to come forward.
