Anne Ballard gave a flower arranging demonstration at an outing to Church Farm, Shrawley.
At the July meeting, Daphne Thompson reported on her day in London as delegate at the annual meeting in The Royal Albert Hall, where the resolutions were passed. The guest speaker had been Dr Mike Stroud who has walked to the Arctic and Antarctic.
Margaret Burbey spoke of a tour around the nearly completed Bull Ring Centre in Birmingham, Angie McCarthy reported on the group trip to Bath, and Olive Broadfield up-dated progress with mandates such as genetically modified crops and saving abattoirs.
Plans were made to see Calendar Girls.
Guest speaker Pen Harrison, talked about soft furnishings and showed a range of cushions she had made. Mrs McCarthy won the competition for a bookmark. The annual barbecue will be held in August.
The meet ing on September 9, at 7.30pm, at St Cecilia's, Hoo Road, Kidderminster, will be about pottery.
The competition will be for a favourite jug.
