At the July meeting, Mary Wehner reported on the annual meeting at the Royal Albert Hall, then Beryl Jackson gave a talk on Peru, to raise money for the Children's Society.
She was the oldest person on the expedition, but had lots of help from her fellow trackers, and the guides who carried their luggage, tents, food, tables and chairs.
The altitude was high and the air extremely thin.
The competition for a teddy bear was won by Margaret Burley.
Orders for calendars and diaries are now being taken.
The August 5 meeting will be members night, to be organised by Thelma James and friends.
The meeting, at St Barnabas Church Hall, Franche Road, Kidderminster, will begin at 7.30pm.
