THE fourth round of the Journal Cup Series was contested on Evesham Town Waters where Damien Smith claimed the top weight.
The top two then swapped places when Adam Schoenrock took the honours in round five.

The winner of the Avon Shield Series, which took place on Sunday at Cropthorne, caught roach to hemp seed - 1 N Green 5.14.0; 2 P Seedhouse 4.3.0; section A, A Griffin 3.15.8; section B, J Blanch 3.10.8.
Open matches continue to take place on Tuesday evenings and the next Saturday open is this week. Book in on 01386 41273 or fishing tackle shops.
On Sunday there is a Still Water Shield match, for society members only, at Blackpole WDUAA canal. Draw at 7am, members uncertain of directions meet at Merstow Green 6.30am.
Evesham and District Disabled A C and Partnerships
Ten members turned out on Thursday night to fish a rain-affected summer evening match at a local lake.
The three-hour match went completely against form for the second week with Roy Thomson winning off of peg 10 with a net of bits for 5.11.0. In second place was Bill Scarrott off of peg 7 with 4.14.0, and third place went to Howard Norledge with 3.4.0 fishing from peg eight on the end of the island
Despite the bad weather on Sunday, 10 members turned out for a match at a local lake. Early fish helped Frank Lake take an easy victory with carp coming to the net on a regular basis, ending up with a total weight of 23.0.0, In a gallant effort the runner up was Bill Scarrott with 7.5.0 and in third place and recording his first frame of the season was the cairman,Hugh Blundston with a fine 7.3.0.
Members who have booked in are reminded of the change to this week'Sunday match venue.

Evesham WMC
FISHING the Jubilee Lake, members had to battle against a fierce wind along the lake.
This resulted in weights being on the low side. Small carp were caught and M Brooks put 15lb in the net to beat V Woods.
Next match is at club water at Cropthorne on Sunday, draw 7am.
Result: M Brooks 15.7.0, V Woods 13.12.0, R Dale 11.4.0.
