A PENSIONER killed in a road smash near Bewdley was seen arguing with her husband just moments before driving off, an inquest heard.
Betty Wardle, 73, was in a dispute with her husband Thomas in the car park of the Woodman pub at Long Bank before the incident, said Worcestershire coroner Victor Round.
Mrs Wardle died of chest injuries at Worcestershire Royal Hospital following the smash, on the B4194 "switchback" road from Bewdley to Stourport, about 200 yards from the pub.
A man was arrested on suspicion of murder following the crash, at 6pm on Sunday, July 13. He was released on bail until October.
The inquest was adjourned for three months.
