SHOCKED shoppers watched as firefighters raced to save a workman following a fall at the new Weavers Wharf retail site, Kidderminster.
The worker had plunged from a ladder onto one of the floors on a 35 foot high scaffolding rig.
He had to be brought down by a hydraulic "turntable" ladder, on Monday at about 2.30pm.
Leading firefighter Tony Wilks, from Kidderminster Fire Station, said: "It looked like the workman had broken his ankle."
