A GROUP of Indian nurses at Worcestershire Royal Hospital are celebrating after receiving their official qualifications to nurse nationwide.
The 38 nurses have undertaken supervised training on the wards at both the Worcestershire Royal hospital and the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch, since January, for their adaptation course, which allows them to nurse anywhere in the UK.
As part of the course they have also attended lectures at University College Worcester.
Yesterday, they were presented with their certificates to say they had completed the course at a ceremony at the Worcestershire Royal Hospital.
"We are absolutely delighted to have them with us," said Janet-Marie Clark, spokeswoman for Worcestershire Acute Hospitals Trust.
"They are extremely competent, highly-qualified nurses and we welcome them to our wards."
