I AM not a lover of writing letters but strongly feel that someone should speak out about the enormous expense we pet owners have to pay up to our local vets to care for our beloved animals.
My own pet dog is coming to the end of her life, but because I am on a low income and she is a large dog I cannot afford the treatments she needs, for the cremation and ashes returned up to £200, for a home visit before consultation £27. As I don't drive it is costly.
I have spoken to people from outside this community in the animal trade and they tell me Malvern vets are the most expensive in the area.
I think that people who really care for their animals are made to pay over the odds by far for treatment. It would be interesting to see what your readers think?
