THE deputy head of a Malvern high school and his son will be spending the summer holidays on their bikes as a fundraising venture.
Andy Johnson, 51, and 15-year-old Richard will cycle from Land's End to John O'Groats to raise money for major refurbishments at Dyson Perrins.
They plannned to start out on Tuesday and to finish on August 14.
Mr Richardson said: "Cycling over 900 miles is a daunting task, but something that Richard and I have been wanting to do for a long time, and felt that we should do it now before I became too old and unfit!"
The school has to raise £350,000 towards the total cost of refurbishments, which is more than £3 million.
Details of their trip are available on the website, which will be updated daily as they make their way across country. The address is www. dysonperrins.worcs.sch.uk.
