A SCHEME for a cattery in the village of Welland has been thrown out by Malvern Hills District Council planners.
Applicant R Worrell wanted to build 20 cattery pens in the garden of Red Gables, Gloucester Road, near the post office.
Letters were received from the occupants of 15 neighbouring properties, objecting to the proposal on grounds such as noise, smells and health risk.
Planning officers recommended approval subject to conditions, but members of the southern area planning sub-committee decided to refuse the plan.
