SHEPHERDS from across the country enjoyed the annual Mathon sheepdog trials.
Fourteen local dogs from within 15 miles of the village were run on Friday and around 70 animals took part in the national competition on Saturday at Upper House.
Winner of the local event, Angie Blackmore, from Bromsberrow Heath, came third in the national competition.
Jerry Thomas, secretary of the Mathon Sheepdog Trials Association, said: "It went very well with a good turn-out. We had more entries than last year." The competition raised over £1,000 for charity.
