WORCESTER and Stourport stole the show at Bewdley Regatta as they notched up 30 wins between them over the weekend.
The two shared the Victor Ludorum prize for the most successful clubs with 15 wins each at the annual event which once again proved a huge success despite the weather.
Racing finished late on Sunday after rain had lifted water levels and prevented a prompt start.
Regatta organisers, though, believed the weekend, which attracted hundreds of spectators and up to 600 crews, was another chapter of success in the regatta's history.
"There was some great entertainment over the two days," said regatta secretary Anne O'Connell.
"The river rose around a foot during Saturday afternoon and evening so that the Sunday events were in jeopardy.
"However, overnight the water level dropped sufficiently to allow safe racing on Sunday. Due to the fast stream and loss of extra landing stages, racing did not finish until after eight o'clock, but it is hoped that this will not deter crews from entering next year."
Worcester were also celebrating victory in Saturday's prestige event -- the Senior I Eights -- after beating Hereford.
Hereford, however, won Sunday's Senior I Eights race by seeing off City Of Bristol.
