THERE was a new competition and some new faces at a recent Young Farmers get-together, writes Robin Wylde of Worcestershire YFC.
Members from new club Pershore YFC joined four others at the Three Pears, Warndon, for the county's first Call My Bluff event.
Based on the television programme, members gained points for guessing the true definition of a word.
They were also awarded points for their delivery of definitions and the way they selected the one they thought was the true explanation.
It was a good job that it was a bright summer's evening as there was a power cut which made it a little difficult to read the notes - but we did get through without any sternutation.
Pershore YFC was represented by Jodie McLoughlin, Tom Gwilliam and Andrew Breaker.
Bromsgrove came third, Cutnall Green finished second, and Martley, represented by Anne-Marie Bray, Stephanie Harris and Mark Yarnold, came first.
