EASTNOR bowled Pedmore out for just 130 runs in the 46th over and powered on to claim an easy Crusader Worcestershire County League seven-wicket victory.

Pedmore lost their first wicket for 25 runs in the fourth over of the bowling of Tariq.

The second wicket fell at 70 following a strong stand from D McDonell with 47 and S Cooper 18 but from this point wickets fell regularly to Jabran Khalid who claimed six wickets for only 26 runs from a fine spell of 14 overs.

The other three wickets fell to Jim Sandford with only 18 runs from 10 overs as the only other batsmen to reach double figures were M Porter 18 and D Cooke 15.

Eastnor, in reply, lost their first wicket with 20 runs on the scoreboard. A further 24 runs later saw their second wicket fall, that of Shahid for 22 but Arshad looked in good form with a fine 27 before being stumped by Porter.

Jabran Khalid then continued his solid show of batting with a steady 44 not out and was well supported by Nick Bollen who was 12 not out to see Eastnor reach their target in the 34th over to claim victory by seven wickets and collect 20 valuable points.

n The top-of-the-table Hereford & District Cricket League clash between Eastnor 3rd and Herefordians saw the latter come out on top.

Put into bat, the villagers lost two quick wickets to Pask before Cliff Tipton (41) and Hamish Grundy (17) added 40 runs. Martin Lane continued his good form with 22 runs and, with Adam McTear (42), added 48 further vital runs. Steve Watkins then claimed two wickets to leave the stage for young Carl Wildig who hit his highest score for the club. His 23 included four fours, to take Eastnor to 177.

Eastnor faced an early setback as strike bowler Tipton pulled a hamstring after his first over. Rich Williams bowled on valiantly to claim Wilcox at 12, and young Sam Beale bowled Price at 35.

The ever-improving Hamish Grundy bowled well but Baulch (60) and Graves (57) added 91 runs to put the visitors in the driving seat as Greaves fell to a good leg side catch off Jarrett by Adam McTear. Steve Watkins (22no) steered the city side home after 32 overs.
