SENIOR police officers were due to be at a public meeting in Upton-upon-Severn tonight to discuss worries about policing of the town.
Upton people worried about issues of law and order were being urged to go along to the Memorial Hall at 7pm and make their voices heard.
MP for West Worcestershire Sir Michael Spicer will chair the meeting, which he called in response to anxiety following a series of late night disturbances and vandalism.
The West Worcestershire MP was being joined by Chief Supt Simon Adams, Insp Neville Sheldrick, members of the Town Council and local tradespeople.
"If people want to air their views about the police, they must be sure to come along," said Upton Mayor Eric White.
"If there is apathy about attending the meeting it will be assumed that people are satisfied and everything is all right."
A similar message came from Upton Tourism and Trade Association chairman Bill Dovey.
"I know a lot of people are very concerned and this is their opportunity to do something about it," he said.
"If they don't turn up, the police will say the public are satisfied."
