ADVENTUROUS youngsters are being sought to take part in a Treasure Island-style hunt as part of a summer programme of events.
The hunt takes place tomorrow and is the first of five events being held at Worcester's Chapter Meadows, off Bromwich Road, for the next five Wednesdays from 2pm to 3.30pm.
Children between eight and 12 can search for pieces of map in a bid to find the treasure.
The five Young Rangers Club events are being run as a partnership between Worcester City Council's ranger team and the Worcestershire Duckworth Trust, which promotes protecting the environment.
Youngsters will receive a stamp for every event they attend, with the aim of reaching young ranger status.
Other activities include Who Killed Sid Signet? on Wednesday, August 6, when children will follow a detective trail to find out who committed the deed, and Wildlife Games on Wednesday, August 13, where youngsters find out what it's like to be a centipede in a race.
On Wednesday, August 20, there will be a sensory exploration of the meadows and a magical mystery tour on Wednesday, August 27, where youngsters will go on a guided walk around the riverside.
All events are free and should be booked in advance on 01905 754555.
