A student has helped to "kick vandalism out of payphones" by coming runner-up in a nationwide competition.
Louise Banks, a 13-year-old from Christopher Whitehead High School, in Bromwich Road, Worcester, designed an award-winning poster aimed at stopping damage to public telephones.
The competition, run by BT, attracted hundreds of entries from across the UK and, as one of three runners-up, Louise's design was shown in payphones throughout the city centre.
"We're really delighted that Louise's entry was commended," said her teacher Catherine Clark. "This kind of competition is great for bringing real issues to life while offering a reward worth striving for.
"It's a good demonstration of how art can be used both in the business and commercial worlds."
