GEORGE Cowley is quite correct when he states that St Paul said that "he became all things to all men."
Unfortunately, he takes the sentence out of context.
What Paul was actually saying was that "no matter who he was with, he entered their world and tried to experience things from their point of view".
Surely this is a first principle of any counselling!
What he never did, unlike the established church, was to compromise on the truth but stuck firmly to the teaching of God's word.
Jesus said that "no man comes to the Father except through me", yet Mankind still persists in the lie that all roads lead to God.
