A COUPLE with the surname Gardiner were yesterday invaded by the team from a surprise garden TV programme.
BBC's Garden Invaders called on Marcus and Caroline Gardiner, of The Hill Avenue, Worcester, to completely transform their rear yard.
The programme, which is aired mid-morning and includes Anna Walker and Linford Christie as presenters, helps couples to create the perfect garden.
It usually involves the female half of the duo answering questions to win plants and other garden essentials, while the male does all the labour.
At the end the contestants have to answer a final question to win a big garden prize of their choice. Marcus and Caroline chose a hammock to relax in after all their hard work.
"It was very wet, but we had a fantastic time," said Caroline.
"The garden design was lovely - former Gardener's World celebrity Joe Swift did it - and we are very happy with the result."
