A THEATRE company that is touring the country by canal has cruised into Grimley for a performance tonight.
The four actor musicians who make up the cast and crew of the Mikron Theatre Company are touring the country with two of their plays in a 67-year-old narrowboat called Tyseley.
They will perform All Steamed Up, at the Camp House, Grimley, near Worcester, at 8pm.
The play tells the story of Richard Trevithick, a giant of a man with a flair for invention that led him to invent the steam powered engine in 1801, 28 years before Stephenson's Rocket.
The company performed its other play, A Woman's Place, which re-examines the fight for women's suffrage, at the Commandery in Worcester last night.
The tour's last date in Worcestershire is on Saturday, August 9 at Birlingham Village Hall, near Pershore, at 7.30pm.
A full list of dates and performances held on each date is available from www.mikron.org.uk or call 01484 843 701.
