A woman threw a brick through the window of a Worcester resident's house in a "blind rage" over concerns about a relative visiting the house, magistrates heard.
Forty-three-year-old Pamela Jauncey admitted causing criminal damage when she appeared before Worcester magistrates yesterday.
Mark Soper, prosecuting, said Jauncey had gone to the victim's address and threats had been made before the victim saw Jauncey smash her window.
Relative
In mitigation, Andrew Childs said Jauncey's relative had been going to a particular address and she had been concerned about activities at that address and wanted to protect that family member.
"My client was in a blind rage and wanted to confront this woman at that address and when the door would not open, my client smashed the window," he said.
Mr Childs added that his client's concerns were genuine and related to a vulnerable relation.
Jauncey was ordered to pay £100 compensation and £55 costs.
