SEVERAL homes across Redditch were burgled over the weekend after downstairs windows or doors were left insecure.
Police have warned householders to double-check their home security after being called to four separate break-ins.
A police spokesman said: "Householders should pay particular attention to securing downstairs windows and doors before leaving the house or going to bed at night.
"Although it is tempting to leave a window ajar during the warmer weather it can easily make your house the target for an opportune burglar."
Items stolen include a mobile phone, a stereo, a handbag and cash and credit cards.
