ALAN Naylor has organised a wheel-ey mammoth challenge to raise cash to help other people with leukaemia.
After much searching, he managed to track down a 25-seater bicycle (pictured above) - one of the largest cycles in the world.
And he has now encouraged 24 other brave souls to take part in a bike ride through the streets of Astwood Bank to raise thousands of pounds for Leukaemia Care.
The event, on Sunday, August 10, from about 11.30am, setting off from the White Lion pub, will also feature a pig roast, musical duo Rob and Steve, aka, The Spontaneous Brothers, from 4.30pm and a disco from 8pm.
Participants will be stopping at all the pubs on the route and well-wishers are welcome to join them and put some cash in the collection boxes, which Alan's daughters and friends will be carrying around with them.
When the cycle ride is over, the bike and its riders will return to the White Lion to celebrate their achievements and the rest of the day's fun will commence.
Alan said: "I'd really like to thank everyone who is contributing to the fund-raising day, particularly the White Lion pub, where the management have been so helpful and accommodating.
"All the cyclists had to raise a minimum amount of sponsorship to take part and we're hoping to raise at least £5,000 throughout the day.
"Absolutely everyone is welcome to come along and enjoy the fun and we want to see as many people as possible."
