IT is unbelievably arrogant and ignorant to suggest that only Westerners are capable of living under a democratic system.
This attitude forgets that our country is not perfect and also has a tremendous amount of social problems.
Living in this country does not make us extra special and we do not have the right to decide how others should live.
To actually suggest that Iraqis and Iranians deserve to live under a dictatorship demonstrates a complete lack of humanity.
They are people, too, and having to live with the constant threat of violence, shortages and being denied freedom of speech is a situation that no one deserves.
Please remember that transition to democracy takes time and can not be expected to happen overnight, particularly during wartime.
