Bowlers Simon Edmunds, Bobby Wormington and Andy Fennell took three wickets apiece as Cookhill made a dream start in their Cotswold Hills Division Six game with Claverdon Seconds.
But after dismissing the home side for 87, Cookhill's hopes of grabbing victory were scuppered by the rain with their reply at 39-4.
Cookhill are at home to league leaders Woodbourne on Saturday anxious for a better display than in their previous encounter when they were skittled out for just 34.
