COMMUNITY leaders are due to make a decision on the short-term future of Droitwich Magistrates Court tomorrow (Thursday).
Worcestershire County Council, which owns the disused Ombersley Street East building, is seeking permission to use it for temporary offices.
The building is currently out of use but is earmarked for major redevelopment to provide a one-stop shop for police, health and social services.
Droitwich Spa Town Council has already granted its approval - but slapped a six-month limit on usage.
Councillors hope this action will speed up development of proposals to transform the site and neighbouring public buildings.
This scheme is expected to run in conjunction with a revamp and extension of the town's health centre, also in Ombersley Street East.
The application is set for consideration at Wychavon District Council's next development control committee meeting.
The county council says it needs the extra space while new offices are built at County Hall, in Worcester.
