EVESHAM Wheelers held its annual open 25-mile Time Trial last Sunday in conditions that appeared to be perfect after 24 hours of heavy rain.
However, the wind picked up to make conditions tough on a new course which could be described as sporting but with light traffic.
Richard Bradley set the inaugural course record with a time of 53.35 following a personal best ten-mile performance the previous day.
Brian Newton finished as the fastest Wheeler with a time of 1.00.32 winning the 60 category in the process.

Members raced a ten-mile Time Trial last Wednesday evening when a strong wind provided a fast ride to the turn on the Salford Priors course with some riders reporting speeds of 30mph.
The battle back to the finish, however, slowed the times considerably by more than a minute for most riders when compared with expected performances.
The most commendable ride of the event was Mark Brazier with an improvement on his season's best.
