STOURPORT were denied a much-needed victory by the weather at Walshes Meadow on Saturday and had to settle for a winning draw based on run rates.
Visitors Feckenham were asked to bat in this Worcesteshire League Division Two game and made good early progress but Andy Platt maintained his excellent form, capturing 5-70 from another marathon 25-over spell.
Chris Young chipped in with three wickets at the other end and Feckenham were restricted to a below-par 184-9 from their 50 overs.
Stourport lost two early wickets in reply but Chris Hanks (56 not out) and Dave Cook (51 not out) took control of the game with an unbeaten century stand before heavy rain intervened after 29 overs.
Feckenham 184-9, Stourport 110-2.
The seconds fixture at Feckenham was abandoned after Stourport were bowled out in the 47th over for an impressive 261.
Pete Harrison (25) and Martin Brewer provided a solid early platform before club stalwart John Shackleton took the game by the scruff of the neck.
Ably supported by Julian Preece, Shackleton was in imperious form before his eventual dismissal for 138.
The Feckenham reply lasted only five overs before rain ended play.
Stourport 261, Feckenham 19-0.
