THE new £1.1 million East Stand at Aggborough will be known as The Jono Smith Stand for the coming season.
Jono Smith, a lifelong Harriers fan who lives in Kidderminster, was the lucky winner of the competition to name the stand after his ticket was drawn from more than 10,000 entries.
There were only minor expenses for the novel fund-raising idea which brought in revenue approaching £10,000 for the Division Three club.
The draw was made by West Bromwich Albion striker Lee Hughes, the former Harriers player, at half-time in the friendly with the Baggies.
Mr Smith, who was not at the game because he was on holiday in Kiev, said: "I can't believe it! I've been a Harriers fan for years now and I only really entered the competition because I thought it would help raise money for the club.
"Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I'd win the competition."
Forty runners-up won season tickets and 100 match tickets were also given away.
