TODD Cooper clocked 53.91secs on the third leg of the 4x100m medley relay for Great Britain at the World Swimming Championships in Barcelona on Sunday.
The Kidderminster 20-year-old, who swam butterfly, helped his team to a time of 3min 38.23sec.
They were last of the eight finalists. Winners USA clocked 3:31.54.
Cooper now heads to the World University Games next month.
