ASTLEY HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY - A visit to the garden of Barbara Malins, current holder of the Bewdley in Bloom award for a large private garden and vegetable garden, was attended by 25 members who said it was a real treat of gardening and a tribute to the dedication of the owner.
The annual show will be held on Saturday in Astley village hall.
The staging will be arranged from 11am until 1pm and the show will be open to the public at 3pm.
The show will feature sections for all ages.
These include classes for a single stem of flowers, five flower heads floating on a dish of water and for globe onions, potatoes, carrots and tomatoes.
The junior section, for members' children and pupils of Astley and Windmill Schools, is split into three groups - Under seven, Under 11 and Under 14.
An extra class has been added for the juniors this year for a miniature garden on a tray.
