DAVID Leatherdale was set to be included in Worcestershire's team to face Glamorgan at New Road today after Andrew Hall was named in the South African Test side to play England at Lord's.
It was the perfect 28th birthday for Hall who re-placed seamer Charl Will-oughby, with spinner Paul Adams coming in for Robin Peterson.
However, all-rounder Lea-therdale's return to Frizzell County Championship Division Two action was delayed when rain prevented a prompt start.
Meanwhile, Worcestershire are in serious trouble after the opening day of their Second Eleven Championship match against Northamptonshire at Northampton.
After winning the toss the home side piled up an impressive 404-9 declared and then had the County struggling on 6-2 at the close.
Northants were boosted by a fine 149 from Jeffrey Cook who plundered one six and 19 fours.
David Paynter also chipped in with 73 which contained one six and 11 fours.
The County's most productive bowler was paceman Jon Farrow who claimed 4-87.
