A SERIES of roadshows are being held around Wyre Forest to ensure residents understand how a new refuse and recycling collection service will work.
The combined wheelie bin and recycling boxes scheme is being slowly phased in from September, until eventually it operates in all households in the district.
Residents will be encouraged to fill recycling boxes with glass, newspaper, cardboard, plastics, cans and tins, which will be collected weekly.
All other rubbish will go in the existing wheelie bins, which will only be collected fortnightly.
The aim is to dramatically improve the district's recycling rate to meet tough Government targets and cut the amount of rubbish ending up in landfill sites.
Some 9,000 homes will switch to the new scheme from September, and all will receive information packs and their new recycling boxes in mid-August.
The touring caravan will be in the following locations from 11am until 1pm:
August 11 - Load Street, Bewdley.
August 13 - Sainsbury's, Kidderminster.
August 14 - Kidderminster town centre.
August 18 - Offmore Farm Community Centre.
August 28 - The Swan car park, Blakedown.
