FIREFIGHTERS were called to smoke-logged flats in Kidderminster after a door was set alight.
Two pumps attended a fire in a flat on the second floor of Derwent House in Grasmere Close, Kidderminster, at 10.16am on Saturday.
Sub officer Russell Broadbent said police were on the scene when they arrived and are investigating the fire, which appeared to be of "doubtful origins".
He said firefighters extinguished a minor fire in the hallway of the flat and added: "On arrival we found the second floor corridor was smoke logged and through the fire resistant screen we could see the fire on the other side.
"It looked like someone might have started it so we're waiting for the police to complete their investigation."
Nobody was injured in the fire which was confined to the door and the area behind it.
