A COUNTY restaurant is targeting sophisticated young diners with a new children's menu that is far from child's play.
The Swan in The Green, Broadway, is aiming to show a flexible approach to modern dining and a commitment to quality, freshly prepared food.
The pub-restaurant, part of the Out and Out chain, has developed a menu split into under-seven and over-seven age groups.
The under-sevens can choose dishes including hand-breaded chicken goujons and cheesy tomato pasta, while the over sevens can tuck in to rump steak and grilled chicken.
The menu is designed to give children freedom of choice, while access to high chairs, free baby food and colouring activity sheets help cement the Swan as the perfect venue for a special family occasion.
Anthony Jones, manager at the Swan, said Out and Out had recognised that children were looking for the quality and choice of dishes traditionally afforded to adult diners.
"The new children's menu is therefore designed to give younger diners the chance to make adult choices, by introducing them to a more mature, diverse range of freshly prepared dishes," he said.
