Movie Makers: The July meeting of the Evesham Movie Makers was held recently.
Social Event: Final details were given out for the filming of the Severn Valley Railway on Sunday, 13th July. A draw will be made on the day to see which group will film at what station. All members are to meet at Bewdley Station at 10 am.
Members Choice: This was presented by Brian, who showed two films from his archives (Green and Wheels), which were well received.
Sound: Films were shown from the evening spent at Joe's experimenting with sound on film. The first film, taken with Howard's new camera, had excellent sound and picture quality. The second film taken by David also had good picture and sound quality. Phil came next. He had added sound to his film (taken with Howard's new Sony PD150 camera) which had been recorded separately on a mini disk recorder and synchronised. The sound was voted the best of the evening. Mention must also be made of Howard's new boom and mic holder which will be invaluable in the future.
Competition/Exercise: An exercise for a film of up to three minutes to music was very well supported. Six films were entered: 1 Water Ballet, David Senior; 2 Messing about on the River, G. Corbett; 3 Perspective, Howard Springthorpe; 4 Around and Around, Brian Bambury; 5 Relax in the garden, David Gittins; 6 Bring Him Home, Alison Bambury. All agreed that it was an excellent selection of films, all very well made.
Club Film: The Club film was discussed and it was agreed that filming should start in August. Dates agreed were 10th August,at Howard's, Great Alne, and 17th August, at Joe's, Bretforton. The script has been sent to members by email. It was agreed that a meeting should be arranged with the actors and crew as soon as possible. Howard and Phil have agreed to meet to discuss angles and shots.
Anyone interested in joining the club should contact Brian Bambury 01386-830863.
