A letter was read out from Yorkshire Tea - Pauline Bamber had nominated Pat Chitty as tea lady of the year for the organisation she does in arranging teas for visiting groups. Pat was awarded a runners-up prize.
The speaker and demonstrator for the evening was Josephine Morgan. A wonderful evening of watching beautiful paintings being created the Chinese way, bamboo, flowers, fishes and with a wonderful commentary of how she had become interested and spent many weeks learning the techniques in China. Same tools of her trade were passed around and members were able to have a go after the talk. Pauline Bamber thanked Mrs Morgan for such an enlightening evening.
The competition, a Chinese item, was won by Betty Bowron. Tea ladies were Barbara Forrester and Jenny Dainty.
Another splendid evening for the Lenches.
