HERITAGE AND HISTORY SOCIETY: The next meeting will take place on August 7 and will take the form of a walk-about Treasure Hunt (indoors if wet). Please note change of venue to the Heritage Centre at the Town Hall, Pershore and time of 7pm instead of the usual 7.30pm. If you feel unable to walk, why not take advantage of this opportunity to take a leisurely look around the centre and also take part in a quiz on the history of the town.
FLOWER CLUB: The July meeting of Pershore Flower Club held at St Wulstan's Hall, Priest Lane, Pershore, on Wednesday, July 17 was very well attended considering it was a hot and steamy night!
The chairman, Mrs Jill Millard introduced the demonstrator, who was Mr Philip Woodman, from Westbury-on-Severn. His wife accompanied him. His title was Reflections. He told how he first became interested in flower arranging when he joined the Young Farmers and has gone on from strength to strength. It was a very entertaining evening. Mrs Helen Morris gave the vote of thanks.
The next meeting is on September 17 at St Wulstan's Hall and Ann Horsley from Stratford in the demonstrator. Everyone welcome.
