OCCUPANTS of a minibus fled the scene when they were in collision with a car on the Evesham bypass.
Police said all but one of the passengers in the white Ford Transit van, including the driver, ran off on foot when their vehicle was in collision with a grey Volkswagen Jetta north of the Badsey turn last Thursday.
The minibus driver, Charanjit Singh, was arrested in Badsey Road less than an hour later. He was charged with driving without a licence, driving without insurance, driving without due care and attention and failing to stop at the scene of an accident.
Magistrates in Worcester disqualified him from driving for 12 months, fined him a total of £450, ordered him to pay £55 costs and remanded him in custody for an extra day in light of the amount he had been ordered to pay.
The driver of the car was treated by paramedics at the scene for minor injuries .
