A MAN causing a commotion at his parents home told police he was an FBI agent.
Darren Smith, aged 27, who lives with his parents on Balmoral Close in Evesham, appeared before Worcester magistrates following the incident when he returned home in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Suzanne Llewellyn, prosecuting, told Worcester Magistrates Court that Smith began to play his stereo loudly after returning home and when his mother told him to turn it down he lost his temper and threw it across the room.
She said that his parents were worried about his behaviour after he kept leaving the house at regular intervals during the day and they felt unable to cope with his mood. Later in the afternoon police were called. "His parents are concerned that they cannot cope with his behaviour. When the police arrived he told them that he was an FBI agent." Andrew Childs, defending, said Smith suffered from delusional theories.
The 27-year-old admitted a breach of the peace and was bound over to keep the peace for one year. Magistrates told him if there were a breach he would pay a fine of £100.
