PERSHORE Flower and Craft Show could become a thing of the past, unless volunteers step forward to help save the annual event.
This year's show, which will be held at the Angel Hotel on August 9, could be the last says committee chairman Councillor Val Wood.
The event was first held in the town in 1875 and is well supported by competitors, with about 1,000 entries every year.
However, due to a lack of volunteers to help organise the event, its future looks bleak.
"People who have been organising it for a long time are gradually leaving," said Coun Wood. "Unless some new people step forward this could be the last year."
She added that the format of the show is well established. "It is not terribly onerous, it just needs some willing volunteers."
Anyone interested in joining the show committee should call Val Wood on 01386 554235.
