THE Cotswolds Conference Centre in Broadway will be home to 50 marathon runners taking part in the longest six-day stage race in the world next week.
The Children with Leukaemia Marathon of Britain will start in Malvern on Sunday and the runners will spend Monday night resting in a mobile village in Broadway, which will be moved along the 163-mile route to Nottingham during the race.
Carrying all their own supplies, they will pass through Stratford, Warwick and Kenilworth castles, Coombe Abbey, the site of the historic Battle of Bosworth, through Robin Hood country to Sawley Meadows and finally to Nottingham Castle.
Race director Rory Coleman said: "The Heart of England offers a backdrop for the event like no other. With its rolling terrain, beautiful villages and many places steeped in history, the course will provide an incredible experience for the competitors."
