A SPECTACULAR evening at the Three Counties Showground of passionate and romantic music under the stars is promised on Saturday, August 23.
The concert, featuring the English Symphony Orchestra, will include an extravagant finale of fireworks to Ravel's famous Bolero.
The Malvern Hills set the perfect backdrop for this open-air celebration of classical music including guitar soloist Mark Ashford performing Rodrigo's captivating classical guitar concerto.
William Boughton will conduct the evening's festivities and the programme will also include Rimsky-Korsakov's Scheherezade, exquisitely played by Michael Bochmann, and Chabrier's Espaa.
Concert-goers will be encouraged to take their own chairs, picnic, and bottle of wine to enjoy the night in comfort.
Gates will open at 4.45pm; at 6pm the ESO Children's Orchestra will perform a bonus concert and the main concert will begin at 7pm.
Tickets are priced at £17 in advance or £20 on the day. One child is admitted free with every adult ticket. Tickets available on 01684 560696 or at www.eso.co.uk.
