WORCESTER City manager John Barton admits he will have to play a waiting game over transfer target Jim Rodwell.
The much-sought after defender played for an hour in City's 3-2 defeat against West Brom but despite talks with the player, Barton is no nearer to discovering Rodwell's plans.
"It's just wait and see at the moment because he's got a few other things around at the moment," said Barton.
The St George's Lane boss has revealed he is likely to give trialists Kevin Halliday and Chris Dawson until the end of pre-season before making any decision on whether to offer them deals with the club.
Meanwhile, Pat Lyons is set to miss Worcester's opening game of the season, at home to Havant and Waterlooville, but is on course for full fitness.
The talented midfielder was diagnosed with a twisted pelvis following surgery on a hip flexor muscle but is now making good progress in his recovery.
