COLWALL travelled to Dumbleton, skipper Tom Wolfendale won the toss and asked the home side to bat first on a dampish wicket.
DUMBLETON v COLWALL
Opening bowlers Majeed and Damian Berry caused the home side problems early on, reducing Dumbleton to 35-3 after 18 overs.
However, Nigel Stanton aggressively decided to take the attack to Colwall. He added 58 for the fourth wicket with the patient Kevin Emery, before Andy Sutton managed to prise Stanton out for a hard hit 53.
Sutton also removed home captain Gibson to leave Dumbleton 100-5 after 31 overs, at which point heavy rain forced the players off the field. They could not return, and the match was abandoned.
Andy Sutton took 2-18, Berry 2-47 whilst Majeed bowled 11 overs, taking 1-9.
