POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man brandishing a gun stole £3,500 from a post office in Stourport-on-Severn.
The incident happened at about 2.40pm on Thursday, July 31, when a man aged between 20 and 30 years old entered Areley Kings post office, on Areley Common.
He attracted the attention of the woman behind the desk and then said "give me some money" to her twice and on the second time, pulled out a gun.
The man then left the post office with £3,500 in £10 and £20 notes, walking off in the Astley direction.
He is described as 5ft 6ins, with dark hair and wearing blue jeans, a cream sweatshirt with black sleeves, trainers and dark glasses.
"This is a very serious offence and we would be very pleased to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time who may have seen anything," said DI Paul Knight of Kidderminster police.
A spokesman for Post Office Counters said they would be helping police with their investigations.
Kidderminster police are appealing for witnesses to contact them on 08457 444888.
