KIDDERMINSTER Harriers aim to sharpen up their shooting skills before launching their Nationwide League Division Three campaign next Saturday with a home clash against Mansfield Town.

Today they are wrapping up their 'warm-up' schedule with a match against Hereford United at Edgar Street after a hectic programme of friendlies.

Their previous three games have been testing affairs against Leicester City, West Bromwich Albion and Walsall where goals have been difficult to come by.

Sam Shilton scored against Leicester while Harriers had to reply on an own goal against the Baggies.

The Walsall defence proved too tight to penetrate and hopes were high that the scoring machine will be more productive at Edgar Street this afternoon.

Meanwhile, Kidderminster's new £1.1 million East Stand on the railway side of the ground will be known as The Jono Smith Stand.

Lifelong Harriers supporters Jono Smith was the winner of the competition to name the stand after his ticket was drawn out of more than 10,000 entries.

There were only minor expenses for the fund-raising idea which yielded valuable revenue approaching £10,000.

Smith said: "I can't believe it. I've been a Harriers fan for years now and I only really entered the competition because I thought it would help raise money for the club.

"Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I'd win the competition."
